I have owned 5 minis. the last was the best a 1964 countryman with cooper running gear, left many escorts and Avengers way behind.*wink*
Then bought a metro basic then a top of the range (hle I think) and realised the turbo version would be great. Bought an unfinished Mk1 body Mk2 front end, turbo running gear through out and Rover metro interior. They said it would not fit but it did.
Finished in Fiat metallic yellow with turbo skirts and trim. Would have been seen around Brighton '89/90.:cool:
Am helping with the build of a Heritage Cooper and love air cooled Volkswagens.
Just love engines really.
