yep, most installs of outlook and outlook express use a system called pop3 for email, where emails are downloaded to your pc, the deleted off the server. Newer systems use imap, which store everything on the server |

I back up my email stuff from time to time. So I have a fairly recent copy of everything, on both laptop, and PC.
9.85 @ 145mph

if it was hotmail account, you may be lucky and its kept the emails as its not a pop3...its html, so should be ok as long as you never deleted them from Outlook Express etc On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:
