Very tidy install and another mini MOT'd.

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

Didn't weigh it. I struggled to move it to be honest.

I did a bit of searching and it apparently weighs around 53kg.

Light stuff will replace it.

Weights are...

Subframe with arms/trunnions etc 28.5kg
Hi lo, cone and knuckle 2kg x2
Hub with bearings/grease 1.6kg x2

That's 35.7kg without brakes.

I don't see a problem with it. It makes perfect sense. Its warm, comfortable, carpeted so it doesn't scratch stuff, t.v for back ground entertainment..........The wife on the other hand..... not so keen.

I'm guessing he had to take a wall out?

It was all nice and clean. Fiancé was sat on the sofa next to me while I was putting it together.

She's pretty chilled about stuff like this. Not sure she'd be so relaxed about a complete car in the living room though. Our house is too small for that anyway.

I rebuilt my supermoto in the conservatory this summer. Then wheeled it through the house out of the front door. Luckily it was all clean!

did a handa camino once in my bedroom on the 3th floor of the house. (sprayed it there to) then waited for my mom to leave to work and puch started it for the first time between my room and the badroom on the other side. then got 4 mates to help bringing it down to drive around in the garden.

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

It's fairly light. I've not weighed everything so couldn't give an accurate number.

I have to say, the MS ally beam is not a great fit.

1. The area that is cut out fir the boot floor is about 40mm too narrow.

2. The poor design means that the beam must be fitted to the car before any of the brackets. These are then very fiddly to fit upside down under the car with a built u a hanging off one end.

3. The camber brackets are not great either. The nut which holds the radius arm pin fouls the adjuster. The weld needs dressing back a fair bit.

4. The wheelbase is now 12mm longer as the beam pushes the arms back. This is a fairly large problem on my car, where the wheel arches have been fitted quite far forward to start with.

On a positive note, it's light.

you need to take som measurements and get somone to make a better version and then sell it for significantly less than the MS one...

Just saying...
