I am toying with the idea of using a webber on my turbo project, anyone got an idea of if i can get hold of a plenum for these? or will i have to go the custom route?

If i remember right janspeed use to do these as in the yellow bible. But youll probably be better off getting one made.

No Janspeed used a Dellorto. *wink*
As regards plenums, it'll be a custom job i'm afraid. I seriously wouldn't bother with a Weber or Dellorto in a blow through install though, stick to the well proven and much easier to tune correctly SU.

don't you have big problems trying to run possitive pressure thought a Webber/Dellorto? I know it can be done with a pull thought turbo.

If you use weber or dellorto in a turbo application you have to update the seals. They are available as the Lotus Esprit turbo used them, but it would be an expensive task.

Check out the (slow) progress at.......

Only reason i would use a Weber is for Suck Through to get the throatyness, otherwise i would leave well alone, as the lads say theyre meant to be a cowbag to setup.

youll also need the laterplastic floats as the boost/fuel pressure might crush the wafer thin brass ones

1) Its a WEBER carb i.e. only ONE "B"

2) Its really not worth reinventing the wheel. Single SU has produced in excess of 200bhp.

I dont think anyone has tried twin su turbo? Not as far as i know anyway. You can calculate til numbers are coming out of your arse, but the proof is in the pudding. If you can do it try it! It may give decent results??

I did see a weber manifold (maybe in Vizards little yellow book) that you could also fit twin SUs on. They were nice and close and it would be easy to fab a plenum for.
