i will be making my water injection kit very soon, if it works, is anyone interested in the details of the kit?
it should supress all detonation up to bout 10psi boost, so should make it safe and reliable if you have a decent head gasket

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

You shouldnt really have any problems at 10psi though, you can run that without an intercooler safely and with an intercooler your home and dry! *smiley*

Steven,

You'll find water injectors still fitted to Mark's two mini turbos, mine, and ( i think) Gialofly's...

But nothing else is still fitted...

I always found it was nigh on impossible to get enough water in there at higher rpm / boost, without drowning the engine at lower rpm (it stands to reason that you need 50% more water at 6000rpm than you do at 4000rpm).
If you used the smallest injector that worked ok at 4000 rpm, it started detonating at higher rpm...

The only way i'd try it again is a two stage unit (having two water injectors, and switching the second in at higher rpm) OR using a mappable controller (preferable).

Don't really know what else to suggest - apart from making sure you fit a float switch and warning lamp to tell you when the water level in your reservoir is too low...

Try these kiddies, very helpfull indeed.

A good many years ago i bought a pair of water injecters and a switch that senses boost pressure and activates the motor to inject the cold water.

If you are on a budget, the switch and injecters only need be bought from them. The additional relay, switches, pumps and water vessel can be put up your jumper at the scrappy.

to be honest unless you are running very silly boost i would'nt bother. A decent intercooler and fuel combined with the correct CR does the job.

I have bough the sutff for water injection, but I never fitted it, I didn't like the idea of water injection holding my engine togther, simply a bit of crap in the water, could block the jet, and and leave your engine melted

if your realy serious about putting it on , i`m sure a few people on here will sell you a full aquamist will very little use, for a good price.

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....
