what should the thickness of the compression ring for 20831 pistons be. I have measured mine to be 1.59mm or about 0.61 - 0.62 in imperial.

Does this sound alright or what should they measure? I'm currently questioning the accuracy of my micrometer.

Thanks

What matters is the gap between the ring and the slot in the piston. Measure this. Brand new rings may still be unuseable if the piston is worn.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.
