my laptop screen keeps getting green bits on it where the black should be like under the shadows of cars etc,. does this mean its on its way out?

it mroe than likely meens your graphics card drivers are wrong, or your display settings are wrong :)

It's more likely to be the screen itself, screen grab wont work because our screens probably work properly!

Yep I doubt a screen grab would show anything. It is most likelt to be a lose connection between the motherboard and the screen. On older laptops that have been opened and closed a lot the flexi cable between the screen and main box can ware. Open it up and push all the connections on.

i think your right ben, it just did it whilst i were looking at the frog build in the shadded areas and behind the grill were flickering green so a wiggled me screen and it came and went so thiking same as you ben.

Then we can establish if it's a physical problem or a hardware/software fault..
