SHE STARTED!!!!!
had to clean my carb totallt, put it all back together, re-route part of the fuel feed that was kinked, advance the ignition almost 30 degrees from the std marks! and then she fired in! no choke at all, just throttle, now runs at the first turn of the key, no knocks, rattles bumps, or anything that should not be there!

nice one! When I first fired up my engine I was over the moon too. It always fired from stone cold with no choke. I don't think that in the long run this is the best setting though as mine started belching out loads of smoke and unburnt fuel once it had warmed up. Problem was sorted with a quick tweak of the mixture, now it needs choke (just a little) for initial start but runs great by itself after 20-30 seconds.
