i have a random camshaft which i got when i bought my mini, the only thing is i dont know what it is from.. how can i check weather its from a 998 1275 or if its a performannce cam? it has no visibale markings on it and i dont have any fancy gages to check the sizes.. can anyone help? :) i can post pics up ill need to find the good camera though

Does it have rings running around the cam between the lobes??

1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

some pics just coming, i dont know what you mean by the rings between the lobes so i took some pics sorry its on my phone but i dont know where the decent camera is i think my dad has it at terminal 5 Hethrow atm =/

Standard A+998 Cam, was used in the some 1275's as well.

thankyou, i will strip apart my other engine to check what cam was in that then! maybe uprated a kent 266 would be nice :)
