what other exhaust valve can be used, insted of the standard sodium valve, i was told a story about vw diesel was agood swap

any valve you like really... sodium filled is probably an over-kill...

Just use a nice wide seat cut, and be prepaired to lap the valves in more regularly.

used rimflow valves on 2ltr foird the valve face is very narrow, for turbo exaust valve dont no, but good luck

Think good quality stainless is the order of the day though.

Yeah we'll see what i come up with, got a while before i need the head. Going to try and get a bridgeport asap so i can start playing.

Yes you are ok with Stainless steel valves.

Of course in the long term the sodium valves will of course last longer, but then again what moded turbo engine lasts for a long, long time, with out the odd look at how things are wearing.

Stainless valves are ok

one thing to think about is to leave the valve seat area a little wider than you would in a NA engine as this will aid in cooling the valve head.

VW story you mention is correct as many models had sodium cooled valves, gives more options on sizes, but sodium valves are not a must have item
