The Common K1100 RS and LT cams are exactly the same, no difference. 256 duration and 7.95mm lift

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

K1200 RS has the desirable cams for sure. I purchased a K100RS 4v and that had the 7.95mm lift cams in, so it's not gospel.
Only way to tell is by measuring the base to peak and subtracting it from the base circle. If it is circa 8mm it's boggo, if it's over this, then it's the racey cams...

Info on K1200 shows them to be softer than 256, except the RS which is 284.

You could be right Dave. Dont forget that exports to certain countries required cats to be fitted, and the BMW parts lists show lesser 264 cams with 7.95mm lift on these models. So, just measuring the lift isnt the be all and end all*laughing*

If its a known UK model, the K1100LT/RS will be 256 7.95mm lift and the K100RS/K1 will be 284 8.55mm lift. I have seen a few sets of cams that do not contradict this. Motorworks obviously know this also.

Bottom line, if the cam lobes measure 38.855mm in total, they are Pukka*wink* everything else is not quite a guessing game, but close*laughing*
