Does any one know how to calculate PSI from the Kpa range in the Megajolt software. I understand 100Kpa is 0psi. But whats the formula for upto say 14psi.

From psi to kpa you multiply by 6.894757

So swap it round for the other way...

100 kPa equals 1 Bar equals 14.5psi

However you seem to be confusing absolute and gauge pressures.

The megajolt uses absolute pressure, with zero being a full vacuum and 100kPa is roughly atmospheric pressure.

Boost is measured as a gauge pressure so 0psig is atmospheric pressure.

Yeah so how do you work out what psi is on the kpa area in the MJ software. Like what is 160kpa in boost terms for the engine. Im just trying to work out what the values on engine load are in psi.

right 100kpa in megatune is 0 bar boost. 200kpa in megatiune is 1 bar boost
300kpa in megatune is 2 bar boost.

so in that example you can very quickly tell you have 0.6 bar of boost. (from the 160kpa, as its 60 kpa above atmospheric pressure)

1 bar is 14.5 psi so you have 0.6*14.5=8.7psi

its best tho think of boos t in bar if your megasquirted, that way you can tell at a glance what the boost is if your reading in kpa. and vice versa.

do yourself a favour and google "gauge" "gage" and "absolute"

megasquirt measurements are absolute
boost gauge measurements are gauge.

itll help alot if you understand teh difference :)
