Is it possible to run both of them together? From reading other threads most people running an electric pump don't bother with a thermostat, is this becuse the pump can be switched on and off or is this due to back pressure problems?

Cheers
Matt

You should not run without any pump pressure because this creates air pockets in the engine.

I ran without a stat when i had my electric pump, as i has a control box for it. If you do remove the stat be sure to use one of the blanking sleeves in its place.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Hmm

Id be interested to know if engines with wet deck and electric pumps run without a thermostat or blanking sleave, or if its the dry deck engines that run without.

I would think you could get away without, when running dry deck, as the coolant has to flow to the back of the engine, up to the back of the head to the front and out to the rad.

Jim, I'll be sending those stats out very soon *wink*
