Fix the head gasket, and use the car. Much more comfortable than a Mini, and doing the gasket is easy.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

buy the whole car the engine will make a good transplant in a mini as itl be the honda engine.

get the back seat as well then you can use the material to cover your back seat.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Malta (Ex. Scotland)

Buy the whole thing, then take it apart and sell all the bits.
maybe if it's got nice rims you could fit them on the Mini?

differnet pcd and theyll be 14 or 15"unfortunately

just check the engine thats in it, more than likely a sohc honda, but some gti's had the dohc "zc" (like bud666'sengine)which is quite sought after (esp on ebay)

Now I thought that the GTI's had the DOHC engine, and it was the GSI's that had the SOHC engine???

Well there you go, learnt something new. The only Rover 216 knowledge I have is from my Dad's mate racing one in the one-make series in the mid 90's, obviously all of those were DOHC's.
