does anyone know... when assembling the big ends are the tabs on the bearings both together or on opposite sides???

im 99.99 sure it is but getting paranoid as i havent built a mini engine since college a very long time ago....that is how i took them out and stored them but my cosworth was opposite sides

i put mine together last week an the tabs were on the same side as each other

tabs same side.. but you realy should have marked what caps for what rods and there orientation when dismantling.

tabs same side...

if you want to check you should be able to see some slight "witness marks" on the con rod.

yes noticed them alex but im getting paranoid and double checking everything

i was the same with my cossie engine build but that was a good engine,just paranioia setting in!

the A-series is a good engine too!!!

Very strong design and even the head design hjas its advantages!!!

If you wanna hand, just ask, I'm only up the road :)

cheers alex....what i meant was the cossie engine turned out good! not that the a series isnt as good

*happy*

all i need to know now is which way the omega writing in piston dish faces just to double check
