I have one of these OIL LEAK SEAL KITS
Do i really need to fit it, as it's being a pain to fit.
Would i still have leaks with out it >?

I don't remeber it being much of a pain... With British motors everything helps on the oil control front!!

Just got my engine in at last :)
well the bit the rod goe's onto, is in wards, and i cant get the dam thing into a different gear to make it come out more,so i can place the seals over it, i got long arms, pretty tight under a mini.. if u get me lol god im shit with remembering names...
Anyways, i guess i better place it on. *tongue*

you can pop a nail or somthing else loose fitting throgh the linkage instead of the roll pin to get it into a different gear.

just cheaking, but you realise these are a replacement for the original seal right?

you need to drain the oil then slip in somthing thin with a hooked end, ( a spall screwdriver heated up and bent with some pliers) and hook out the old seal. the metal bit with the Orng on the outside then goes in to support the shaft and make the seal work better, then the seal goes in, then the concertina'd bit just goes over the saft to stop any dirt getting to the seal.
