Hi, i was thinking of building a long stroke turbo engine as I have a block that has bored to 1310, some cooper S pistons and an 84mm stroke crank so total capacity should be circa 1350. My question is what pistons are available that are suitable. I was looking at the Accralites from Avonbar then realised that if I used them they would protrude from the top of the block at TDC. Any help and suggestions appreciated. |

You can easily remove two mm from the top of Megas if that's necessary. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

As long as the top ring is a fair way down the piston yes.

He thinks that this all is a bit exaggerated. He doesn't like all the volume above the top ring. All sorts of stuff gets ignited down there On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Thanks, I'll PM him to get some ideas. Theres alot of basic info on this site about my engine, how it went together with the trials and tribulations i had, a search will reveal a basic spec, i am for now going to keep the rest and the finer points of how it went together to myself May sound harsh and i might get a slating for it but it cost me alot in parts and development and i dont want that info just thrown around the net willy nilly one thing i will say is its not cheap, you can build a k1100 turbo for less Edited by wolfie on 24th Jan, 2008.
