i was thinking about painting my exhuast with high temp paint to stop it rusting (manifold) and because i can really and have nothing better to do atm. the only thing that concerns me is the fact its only rated up to 400c it only on a n/a car but wouldnt the manifold get hotter than 400c? or am i being a tad stupid. there is NO paint "you can buy" that will stand the heat on the turbo or manifold

400C is not enough temperature range. Here in the US we have VHT header paint, which is rated to 1500F (800C). I have it on my Corvette headers. Three years now and they still look terrific. I had them painted by the local powder coating guys who have a big oven to bake it on with. The can says you can use the heat of operation to bake it, but I think an oven gives you much more even heating. 1275 with Back Door Turbo |

Actually, I lie, the exhaust manifold burnt off and the paint flaked on the first run, the dump pipe off the turbo is perfect... which I found somewhat odd.
