Hi Everyone.

Its been a long time since I've posted on this forum. And a lot has been done to my mini. I've bought a second turbo engine with the metro still attached to it.

It was an ex racing metro, dropped to the ground and totally busted turbo. 5mm of play on the axle.

I combined both engines to a complete one. And it has been mounted in my completely restored body.

Please look at my picassa album and tell me what you think:



The engine turns, and we have oil pressure as of today. So now we need to tidy up the engine bay and figure out how to get the air to the turbo.

I`m building it for my wife. So she got to pick the color. Its an actual Mini colour too. Its Mini Rose Pink from the 1989 Mini Rose.

The rest was my idea.

One question to the other users on this forum. Is anyone else running a fixed nose, left hand drive, turbo charged mini with the standard late model brake servo?

It was a *&*&^% fitting everything together. I`m sure anyone who has tried it has had some problems. Cus I know you need to do some welding to convert an era to left hand drive for instance.
