Got the all clear to go back to work after 4 months in a cast. I compressed my L1 vertebrate, back in September by fall 18ft out of a tree.
Any body else had this kind of injury? Still got a sore back but looking to get back to work to earn some money to get the mini finished. Anyway this is my xray.

Surgeon said i was very lucky.

I'm stupid Ive A fiesta with most of the bits to make my megajolt thingy. Thick or what!!!! OHHHHH and ive got a metro for free !!!!! Metros have become rare over here!!!!!!!!!

My mate did a similar thing falling out of a window on my wedding night. Was a good start to the honeymoon spent in hospital.

I think he cracked a vertebrate. It stranded his 911 in Scarborough, and some poor sucker had to drive it back to Crewe.

The doc did said it will me haunt later on in life. I know i only wedge on of my vertebrates but when you loss the power of your legs for two days it was scary. Something to with pressure on my spinal cord.
It was like wining the lotto when i could move my legs two days later.

Somewhere around Swindon

degrading dics here, apparently they will be unbearable in next 5 years or so and will have to have them knocked about

i would say you sound as unlucky as me but i think the opposite with that fall

Smart Guy!

mainland europe near ze germans

you're pretty lucky all things considered. I just had one young bloke who had way more damage from a similar height .scaffold tipping over.

but on concrete: both ankles turned to chips, leg, l5 fracture,a collection of rib fractures and a head with serious damage to the bone and optic and oculo motor nerve (basically meaning his left eye is now wonky) . 25+ days on a ventilator..ten of those on the bleeding edge.

on the relative plus side..massive amounts of drugs courtesy of moi :)

That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system

I know i was very lucky. back to work now and as the days go on the pains are slowly going. half the pains are just a mental thing. I was lucky . hope that bloke gets better soon.
