Couldnt get it started no matter what, all the connections were right. Anyway turbo was still grinding, so ive decided to change it over. Im changing every gasket too at the same time, and at least it will be easier to do the exhaust clamp with no carb bits on. Hopefully will have it back together again tomorow. Is there any need for me to take the head off at the same time? I wont get a new gasket in time thats all for MOT and avonpark, i only have a standard 1.3 one here.

Ill just put it all backtogether with new turbo tomorow and hope for the best! Its supposed ot be a good turbo this one anyway.


Where do you buy the 3 quid oil from Iain? whats it called? Just wanna run it through for a bit. Tomorow when its back together.

ill give sainsburys/morrisons/aldi/netto a try tomorow then, i could only get expensive stuff at motorworld today.

doesn't fully synthetic damage mini gearboxes???

synthetic is only a descriiption of how the oil is made... not the quality or consistance...

I found some cheap stuff at Spar! 4 quid for 5 litres of 20/50!
