Ive got a front mouted mk1 Metro rad.
And this was the water sender that came off the rad.
Is there something missing ? as whoever has one will know that when you clip it in, it dont seem to steardy. i only have to tap it a little for it to start leaking ... just dont seem right.. micky mouse crap if u ask me...
Any ideas. or where i can get new one. as i cant find one anywhere.

Hmmm just thinking. so that sender in the rad is to tell me the water temp on my clocks. but i also heve a water sender in the block. errm can some comfirm please.... do i have to block the rad hole up, it has the wires there all ready from the person b4 who installed it ? cheers *surprised*

The sender in the radiator is to start the electric cooling fan.

Have you tried turning that rubber seal around on the sensor?

Yeah i just went up the road as they had a new one, thank f**k. and he said its for the fan to come on at serton temp..

i dont use mine but its a bit of a shit to seal, we stuck some wire under the clip to pack it out a bit so it put a bit more pressure on the seal, ghetto engineering *wink*

Yeh mine was loose, it either ended up ok or i did simlar to bud. ether way it sealed even tho you think it wouldnt.

rubber is the wrong way around... changed my sisters the other week, it had a black ring to hold it in and it was tricky to get the bottom lug pushed in..and should be very tight with the new rubber.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

Yea it was the wrong way round.. i just pushed the rubber thing in first, then went from there... all seems good. i hope :)
