The stuff for my garage is coming Monday, and I've only taken 1 day off to get it all shifted the 200ft from the end of my driveway down to where the garage will be built.

3 pks red engineering bricks
12 pks Fibrelite blocks
3 pks 100mm Concrete blocks
3 bags grey building sand (1 ton bags)
15 bags cement
1 box wall ties
3 rolls damp proof course
6 packs cavity insulation

Apparently a pack of bricks contains 500 bricks and weighs 1.4 tonnes.

The fibrelite blocks are bigger and lighter so there are probably (hopefully) less in a pack. The concrete blocks I'm told are *very* heavy

The lorry can't get any closer and the old garage is still in the way so there's no access for a car/trailer.

Just me an my little garden cart thing :)

The 100 mm concrete blocks will weigh about 19/20 kg each.
The worst thing to move will be the bags of sand.
You could do with hiring a little fork lift truck for the day .
Have fun

Chris

Edit to ask.. What do you need 3 tons of sand for ? you only have 375kg of cement @25kg/bag.

Kids round here want more than 1.00 an hour. They want benefits and a decent holiday package as well!

I'm hoping to enlist some help, but I'm trying to prepare myself for doing on my own.

Yes feebs it is gravel :(

Chris, builder is bringing more when he comes. It won't all fit on one lorry

All good fun!
