Does this head look too long new to have work done on it. I here Benross is the man to open up the chambers for me.
It has been lieing around for a while so i know its needs alot of work ie new valve guides Valve seats and valves. Would Like the chambers open up to lower my cr so i can turbo it mybe 10 ,15 psi nothing silly.

It was of a sprite 1275. I noticed that the valves were small than my mg head that i have as well.

If you've already got a NA MG Metro head with the 36mm inlet then you'll be much better off using that. You could modify it or if on a real budget stick it on as it is.
That rusty heads going to take a lot of work to get it up to spec.

I guess that exhaust valve seat easily can be cleaned up with a 31mm valve. If this fails, install some unleaded seats. Easy *wink*

The inlet seat looks serviceable.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Done much worse but it does make sense to go with the MG one if you have the choice

yeah i know what you mean. Ive just rebuilt the mg engine and its runnig lovely. But ive had a change of heart and im going turbo no matter what. I,d like to low the cr a bit to be safe side. Thats why id do this other head....

Just picked up a scrap metro to night the man said it had a 1100cc engine but need to get a look at see what head is on it. It prob' a 1000cc. but at least i can get the brakes of it.
