I picked up a cheap 1275 head on ebay for £85, it needs an acid dip and new valves, springs, guides etc but im trying to find out what stage it is at the mo.

It is a 12G940 head with "OE 55-20-0" stamped on it.

A bit of research show it has been worked on by Oselli and they say this will have a 20cc chamber with 1.312 inlet and 1.156 exhaust valve. It is a 9 stud head and just one level up from standard.

Any comments on the head? and what is "one level up" ?

Let's just say it's useless for a forced induction application because of the small chambers.

One level up means nothing.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

depend, combined with 15 or 18cc pistons, will make a very good set up, oselli st1 head seem to be road set up with mild cam and mid rev efficiency, that's exactly what's a turbo engine is

It's been skimed to reduce chamber size, and as Vegard says you potentially want to do the opposite (depending on boost, pistons, engine spec etc).
