right i have had conflicting advice on a potential prob but i can rectify it before the motor go's in if its a problem?

i've got the telflon just jubious about honing the little end to make the gudgeon pin fit, i thought it would wear out without a bush fitted????????

For a low rpm torque monster, the std circlips would be OK. However, Teflon or aluminium buttons are better. When it comes to rods, either hone out the ones you've got or find some A rods. Much more cost effective.

so the opinion is thats its ok to hone my rods to fit the other pins!

Hone it out, don't worry. If the rod wears, THEN fit a bush. Or get a set of new rods, the are so dirt cheap. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
