Mike, ok, ok, they`re not cheap *frown* but i`m told that if i smack them into a wall or another car they will "Give" a little & spring back into shape... so not only will i finish the race (maybe) but i won`t have "Smashed" a rim & spent another fortune (hopefully) *smiley*

& MiniWilliams,,, yeah i designed the centres so they are different from just about any/all other mini rims i`ve seen & of course because they`re carbon i don`t expect to see another mini wearing them for some time, so yet again i`m the first in the world *smiley* hee hee

ok,,, i`ll stop now, my head won`t fit thru the door way (again) *smiley*

Carbon fibre...Hmmmm. C-C bonds are about as strong as they get in chemistry. Tensile strength. If you put 'em in any other configuration where tensile strength is not maximised, I'd say they were compromised....just from a theory point of view. You're as weak as your resin.

Bearing in mind one chap I know was Mr Famous in his ill fated CF catamaran. Hence my repeated info.

I'd still go magnesium.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

yeah i undersrtand (to a point as i`m no chemist or physicist) But the speedway boys in the big V8 super sprint cars have been using these wheels in 15inch form for years & years & when they punch into a wall or another car they tend to give/flex a bit & bounce back into shape. so i`m happy as a pig in Sh!t about that... & also the fact that i was told they have a sort of limited warrantee in that if you actually smash one, then they`ll give you another rim at a far reduced price (like half cost) But i havn`t actually confirmed that same deal with these wheels just yet tho,,, i`m ordering some more for both myself & other people so i`ll double check about that then.
