After starting the car, i can hear some kind off noise that sounds like the sort of noise the tappets would sound like, but coming from the cam belt drive part. when i put my foot on the gas,

it's coming from the cam part... it's like a propeller.

Check you fan and shroud/rad to make sure there is no contact. Also check the breather down on the timing cover, that sometimes needs a knock to make it clear the fan. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

also sometimes the rear of the rokers hit the roker cover to if you aint carefull always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |
