Right then,
Put the car on the ground today after months of building etc.
when i started her, i could hear something dragging. *surprised*
So when i pushed the clutch down it stops.*tongue*
could it be the clutch dragging ? It has a new verto clutch, clutch plate, thrus bearing, new clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, etc.
I get all gears fine.
Some help would be very gratful...

Happens when in nautral, but goes when clutch pedal is down ?

Are they straight cut drops? If so they do make a racket when spinning under no load.

Putting in the clutch stops them spinning and so the noise stops.

They are straight cut drops gears.
If thats the case, do all u guys who have drops gears on there minis sound the same when in nautral ?
When on axles, the wheels would spin round while in nautral.
I reversed the car back, but got stuck in reverse. so we pushed the car forword a little which unstuck em. hmmm ?
Drives forword in 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th ok.

Have you adjusted the clutch correctly? Could it be the release bearing dragging?

Could it have something to do with the verto clutch throw out stop need adjusting ?
just not sure that it's the drop gears.
Could be wrong. ill have to make a recording tomorow, so u can hear..
This is a pain in the ass the reverse getting stuck also.......
Anyone near kent *wink* ?

But it sounds like a rubbing noise, and not so much a rattling noise.
Ive seen 2 mini's that had drops, and they didn't make the same noise my is making.
So if thats the case, then why would reverse get stuck as im backing out mate ? but gets unstuck once the cars pushed forword.
So do all of you guys have this same noise.
Fuck, i thought it just wines when on the move, not sound like it's rubbing while standing still. sounds shite and if somethings wrong lol but i do like the wine once on the move.
