Just noticed petrol in the carb shield :( The carb just started to leak petrol from somewhere on the right side of the carb :( bugger. wasn't like that before.. and there was me just about to go out for my first spin :( if it's not one thing, it's another...
The carb was rebuilt. what could it be lads.
Looks like i got to take it out...

Cheers.

Define what you mean by right side? There really only is the pipe going in from the reg on the drivers side or the base of the carb you take off to get at the float.

Lol i can take it *wink*
It was a kit i brought.
It dont leak while the car's idling, it leaks when i move off with higher revs.
it's coming from the passengers side of the carb.. looks like it's coming from the choke part of the carb.. ?
Cheers lol

Anyway's. i have to take the things off to fix it..like i said, it only seems to leak when more fuel's going though the carb, and not when idling.
So how should i test to see where the leaks going from when i take it out.
Cheers..

Sorry to keep posting.
it's for sure coming from the choke spindle part :(
But it's had all new seals etc..
Is it the O ring that seals it ?

cheers. *blush*

Just remember to put the seal in the right way. Flat part facing outwards.

I just took it apart, and noticed it looked like it was leaking from the front seal. picture below.

im not sure if the spindle was pushed all the way though, which could of made the leak ?
Also there is 2 screws holding everything to the carb, 1 screw was real loose. i blame my mate on this one :) not sure if that had anything to do with it ?

Plus doe's the O rings look the right one's to you ? .

Thanks for ya help..
