The time has come to move on and I regret to announce I have sold the "world renound" MOT 977L Mini.

I have owned the since 1992, many engines have powered it through the years, a tuned 998cc, a tuned 1380, a race 1430 and I have lost count of how many turbo lumps!

The car has gone to Norway (not to Vegard) to a Turbominis user so is in good hands, I have been assured it will be looked after and turned back to something realy special as it is in need on of a little TLC.

MOT has been featured in Minimag back in 1997 when there was only a slack handfull of turbo minis around. Also it went front page of Retro cars, not to mention countless pics in the minimags and CCC through the years.

I have had the pleasure of piloting many minifolk around around castle Combe, Donnington and Cadwell park. at various guest driving events.

I also drove the Mini any many charity days at Castle Combe showing these "Hooray Henrys" clean pairs of heals in there Ferraris and Exiges. I am sure Wolfie and Turbo Dave remember there rides!

If anyone has any interestings pics of the car/me I would love to see them posted.

The new ower and myself at Newcastle handing over the car.

Here are two nice large pics:

The first is from Avon 2004 when the Flan finally got his first place, after many years of 2nd/3rd place classD trophies.

The second one is from the second stroke day I went to - which was a little bit on the wet side - again in 2004. Despite lots of previous promises - this was finally the time that I got to experience MOT...

Click on them and they might increase in size. If you're posh, they won't...

Not known Jon long, but even I heard of MOT. Glad to see the old girl in action last year at MITP. A great machine.

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

Wowsers i didnt actually think this day would come

I spoke briefly to jon at avon 02, although i doubt he remembers me about the car then as it was looking rather special, and then at the rolling road day in cheltenham when the blasted thing wouldnt start i tried to assist jon "what ever you do dont drop the needle, dont touch then needle, dont bend the needle"
30 seconds later..
"You havent bent that needle have you"
(the needle was just like an actual needle)

It was one of the main inspirations behind my car and pushed me not to settle with a 13.9 car, but to push myself to make it faster

A very sad day for class d, but good memories

A sad day Jon. I mean 11 years! you must have had it half your life. That makes you 22, so not far off.

I hope you showed him how to properly tighten the intercooler hoses!
