if you snaped the bolt off just tightening it up nip down to a car store and buy some easyouts and give them a try before taking the engine out Edited by Carl on 10th Jul, 2004. no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

or get one of those brackets from minispares to combat this problem that bolts onto you flyweel housing |

I think i have one of those brackets... Yours for free if you come to Avon in the mini.

as above , got one lying about somewhere Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Ive just come back in from the garage, with my cowboy boots and hat on. It was the smaller bolt that snapped so i bolted it up with one and welded the bracket onto the 1mm or so of bolt sticking out. Yee ha - but it will survive for the time being |

or buy and fit an ultimate engine steady on the thermostate side if youve got enough room to weld a bracket on the bulkhead side that is dont give up now youve still got a few days
