I'm about to order mine, and i thought i may as well see if other people are thinking the same. I'm sure a group buy would get us some discount.

I'm looking at ordering by the end of the month and i'm guessing would need to pay for the order in full by that point. i dont mind collecting cheques, or people paying swiftune direct.

I dont know for sure if they would get us a discount, but hey, its worth a go *smiley*

I thought i best see what sort of commitment i could get from memebers first

The std price is around £550 so to be honest i cant see it dropping much below the £500 mark so although its a saving you still need to be in the market for one as its hardly going to be cheap as chips

cheers

Yep!

I assume these will be the new type that take the std crown wheel? I'll also be in the market for the spicer outputs too if that helps.

i nearly bought one last payday but went for an LC1 and dash and ecu wiring stuff instead.

I get paid on the 26th and provided my girl freind passes her driving test i'll have the funds if she fails i'll have to pimp her out....

yup, the new one.

i've got HS shafts etc on my car but its cheaper to convert to new pot joints etc and the rolling friction etc is less. plus they're cheaper to replace.

just a thought.

so thats 2 then!

i have harder spicer shafts and joints, i just mean "new" pot joints, i could use old ones but i'll get new ones thats all *smiley*

Diffs are aroudn £550 which has point joint output shafts. not sure what (if any discount we get but its worth a shot if a few people want them at the same time!

Thats fair enough Mini13, i was going to go the same route until i realised it was another £150 for output shafts for HS!

i dont think they're open tomorrow but if they are i'll give them a tinkle to see what numbers we need for a group buy.

arghhhhh just worked it out, thought that they where around that but i wont have enough money in time as ive gotta buy a daily drive while the mini is off the road. if its delayed in some way then i will most probabl;y be in but dont delay it because of that. i will just join if the the offer is still on.

Yeah it did matt, but i can only ask. i'm getting one anyway so if a few other people do at the same time then it can only help!

i know what messed up the other one was the fact that the new quaife came out just before ordering.

we can only see *smiley*

I have been told Quaife dont give much discount.

I was also told, Demon Tweeks are more likely to give discount.

Might be worth contacting both....although perhaps contact Quaife first, so DT dont get a heads up on whats going on.

Im sure whatever discount Quaife give you, they would have to better it then if DT ask them :)
So DT's price might get better.

Or of course Swiftune's, unless Quaife only sell them via them.

A mate of mine is looking shortly to become a Quaife distributor, if and when that happens I'll be talking to him to see what can be done.

Right, just been having a chat with swiftune.

If we get 5 or more ordered we get 15% discount which i thought was bloody good.

Works out around £470 by my reckoning.

There will then be £20 postage for the lot to be delivered to me which will be divided out, then i would guess £15 p&p each.

So i guess you're looking at around £490 delivered, which is probably around £70-80 (if you add say £10 onto the £558 for postage) off which i think is very good!

As i say, this needs to be 5 people or more, and i would need to collect all the money up front, ideally via cheque as i dont want to be stung for PP fee's, although if you want to pay the fee's then i can accept it.

I'm not going to run off with you're money, i'm sure anyone on the forum will vouch for that.

So the list so far, please add your name:

Iain

Maybe TD - IF you can negociate that it is shipped overseas and the VAT eliminated... (I suspect Fab is thinking the same).

Dave, unfortunately from what they were saying they want them shipped to one source.
ALTHOUGH, i think if i can get 3 more people (to get 5) and it was a 6th etc then i think they might.
Price was £403 ex VAT.
