leccy fans for front mount rads, whatsused & how, i'm rubbish with wiring

i'm going to run a front mount mk1 metro rad, 9-10" leccy fan, the rad has a switch with 2 spade terminals, what dio i wire to what, i'd like to do it to a manual switch on my dash any help well appreciated as always!!!

Ok, easy this!!

how i would do it is,

run a fused 12 permanant live wire to the positive wire on the fan, if you pinch this straight from the solenoid you can just stick a fuse in line.

Theres two wires on the fan, one is 12v one is ground (to the chassis) if you conect them the wrong way the fan will turn backwards.

split the other wire on the fan into 2, one goes to one of the terminals on the rad switch (the other rad switch teminal goes to ground dosent matter which). the other wire from the fan goes to your fan overide switch, the other terminal of this goes to ground.

this way if any of wiring after the fan ever shorts it just makes the fan run.

is that ok?

You may want to think about a relay, wiring direct will work but if its a bigass fan it will soon ruin the thermo switch. they are not always reated for such high currents.
