Is there more than one length available?

I seem to remember my old cable being quite long compared to mine at the moment but can't think where I got it from or if it was a metro one (if they are any longer)?

Any suggestions?

Cheers
Matt

The last one I bought was from Halfords. I think I got a Metro one which was really long. I have a feeling that they are a one size fits all job.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

I think mine was a metro one? But do they locate in the mini bulkhead ok?

It only needs to be about 6 inches or so longer. *oh well*

As long as its longer and locates in the bulkhead hole...it should do the trick. I completely forgot about midgets etc...I'll go to my local motor factors on my lunch and see what they have, 9 times out of 10 they have to order it in, at least now ive got a few different cars to choose from that may be what im after!

The last one i got was from proparts, it was for a "classic mini".

It's just long enough, could do with being abit longer tbh! Better to have something longer that you can chop down, i reckon i'll get a metro one next time if its a bit of extra length.

I am just about to look at this for my k conversion. i Know that johnk made his up from an elise one but that isn't really doable for people who don't work somewhere with easy access. I have seen some people using bicycle rear brake cables though, think that might be worth pursuing?!

I'll keep you posted Ant. *wink*

Make your own

Vehicle Wiring Products supply inner/ outer cables and all the nipples to go with them. Mainly for motorcycles, but same thing.

I bought an SPi left hand drive cable which is huge!!! Goes all the way to the front and round. Did cost me £45 though *oh well*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Meastro one seemed to do the trick length wise. Had to cut one end off, but only cost me about £7.00. :)

will make whatever you want, and do a good job too. Not expensive either IMO.

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will
