if you have the ruber flexi brake pipe. get 4 brake clamps or 4 vice grips, clamp on 1 flexi at a time test brake pedal, till you test all 4this will tell you if its wheel cyl calipers or master cyl ie if pedal is solid with 4 clamps its wheel cyl or caliper, if it goes to floor its master cyl. olso you can put your hand ontop half of brake pedal, feel if any brake fluid on pedal, any way brakes hold you back????????????? good luck

Had this issue, was resolved with a master cylinder rebuild kit. :)

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I'm starting to think master cylinder/servo assy Steven...
You've tried a lot, and you're obviously doing things right to be getting a 'pedal'.

problem found!
i put two blanking bolts into the master cylinder/servo and the pedal would not move, so it was not that, but then as i got out of the car i noticed my rear wheel paint was beginning to peel, so off came the wheel, and drum, pulled back the rubbers, sure enough, nackered brake cylinder. will be changing it today, goin for mot tomoz.

Use Genuine cylinders only - I've not had much luck with budget ones lasting more than a few years!

the cheapest will do for the mo, just as long as i get to avon park.
there was no fluid on the inside of the drum, the rubber completly sealed the leak from the outside world, there is no trace of it with the rubber on!
thats why i didn't see it first time round

Then I'd be amazd if thats what sent your pedal to the floor...

a slight weep normall just lets air in and you end up with a spongy pedal.
