Hi
Anyone using the float bowl extension kit for the HIF44 turbo carb? Good or useless stuff?

Don't know anything about them!

I've never seen one, but assumed it increases the volume of fuel in the float chamber by 'lowering' the cover on the underside of the carb?
If so, it brings the float chamber even closer to the hot turbo - that can't be good! Also make it pretty difficult to fit a heatsheild i'd have thought?

I'm probably totally wron in how it works though - but can't figure out any other method...

Exactly Dave, I have fitted one at the moment. I filed new slots to the origin heatshield, then the fitment wasn't a problem. I bought the parts from BFS 2 years ago. I was writing here because I thought someone here has made good/bad experience with it. But it seems I will have to try myself and see if it helps on my flat spot/hot start troubles.
(a lot of hot fuel - a lot of hot start troubles?)
