i was putting some cash into my bank yesterday, just checked today and they have put £95 extra in. The girl blatently fancied me lol

Anyway ive slapped in my online saver for the minute, but as it was cash will they notice? And how long before they take it back?

Don't know how long but if it's not yours then it's not yours to spend. That is to say they can demand it back at any time so careful what you do with it.

I wonder, if you invested it would they have a right to any profits earned? I'd say so.

if its there error, and you had a significant amount time, they could demand nothing more than base rate interest over the period you had it

i worked part time at tesco during my A levels for 3 months

they paid me for full time while i was there, and for 4 months after i left....never asked for it back :)

yer my mate worked in tescos for the canteen bit. he was off ill for 2 months and he got payed full instead of sick pay! and he hasent herd anything since lol

you should get full pay if you're off sick from tesco's. at least you did when i was there.

i stay on full pay for 12 months before it drops down to "sick pay"

i had this happen before, but never with cash, i just assumed it was the lady that counts the money and then puts in on the system, job done.

I never thought it would get re-checked as there no real proof is there.... her word against mine now...

i will happily give it back though if im asked for it lol

matty you lucky SOB!!! most i got is when sumone chucked wallet out a car window at me, had over £300 cash in there...it almost hit me in the face and so its mine! suprisingly the car sped off no plates thru a red light!

i work for abbey, and every night we balance each till, if theres any difference in cash or cheques then we look through our slips to find it, if we cant find the difference then we cant do anything except put a till difference through, and hope someone owns up.
This is how abbey works but not sure bout others.

I once got paid for 50hrs overtime at work instead of 0.5 hrs (in a week)
