Am I right in believing these aren't the best for standing starts?

A 4.1 will give you lower gearing, i.e. the lower the number the higher your top speed. I have been thinking about this, the only problem I saw with a mini geared for top end (not so much for top speed but for crusing comfort) is the sc/cr gearsets have a tall first. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

The 13" inch wheels are not much bigger than 10s.. Go out and measure. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

10 vs 13 pretty close due to high side profile vs low?

check the rolling circumferance of a 165/70/10 against a 175/50/13 - not much in it |

The TT on 13s with 20" tyres (much taller than any road tyre that you would use) tops out a 110 @ 7k with a 4.1. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Yeah I didn't make it very clear. You mentioned 4.1 and top speed together so I figured you were gearing for top speed with a 4.1. I take it you mean using a shorter diff to counterbalance the bigger circumfrence of 13"s? In that case as V has said there isn't a hugh difference between 10"s and 13"s, not enough for a 4.1 anyway!

Am I right in believing these aren't the best for standing starts? And would using them in conjunction with a 4:1 diff to give some top speed be a mistake? It's just that I saw this purple Turbo Mini in MiniWorld on 13" Revos and it looked sooooo good I got to lusting after a set again
Thanks Tom this one??

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder. On 15th Aug, 2011 robert said:
