I'd prefer full units - don't need heads, let me know what you've got

closer to Norfolk the better!

cheers JK

If Carling made Mini engines
it would probably be like this one!

I've got an MG Metro engine with a pre-verto. I've not ever run the engine so I couldn't tell you what sort of condition it's in.

PM me if you're interested.

Preston On The Brook

I got word from the horses mouth at Minisport, that there are several salvage and breakers aound the country that supply complete engines in pallet loads of 50 and 100 to them, I happened to be up there at their engineering shop and seen the latest delivery and can quite believe what they say.

Another point is that in the North at least, Mini and Metro Spares in Warrington, also have cornered the market in breaking old metros, and have a vast number of complete engines on the shelf.

What does this mean, well, it means that the once common and cheap 1275, is no longer. Start collecting your spare engines now people, as the demand is high but the supply is low wich equals a high cost.

One way round it is to buy up all the cheap rotten metro 1.3Ls for the engines and scrap the rest. Buy the car for £75 and weigh it in complete at the scrap yard without engine for £90, lol free engine and a profit of £25.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

as mad as it sounds I was at one time considering a billet gearbox running a seqential 6 speed dog gear - made for dry sumping - maybe one of these days when I have a few spare hours/months!!

now where did I put all those metro's
