well i have got to make a long nut for miniwilliams and i need to know the tread size found on the t3 eg were the bolts go in on the waistgate housing.
always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |

I thought they were M8 too. Try running a tap down it first as the heat does seem to make the threads tight over time.

ah thats good news then, my m8 just went tight so properly just crap on the thread, mind you its a m8 X1mm hopefully its not m8 x1.25mm then i would be buggered.

Standard M8 (ie, ISO coarse) IS 1.25mm pitch, the 1.0mm pitch is non-standard (fine).

all done now it was m8 x 1mm.

Hoggy I have to disagree, standard M8 is 8 x 1.25.

Well what ever tread it is, you have done a FAB job mate, thanks so much, I got an old bolt from the turbo and it fitted like a glove.
Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I think we better beg to differ as they say, maybe we have odd turbos lol.

Yes, I didn't mean yours particularly, but anyone's could have been repaired/modified at some previous time at that sort of age. The only person who would know would be if someone had owned it for "life".
