Dont look like im going to be at Avon after all... i seem to have developed the mother of all oil leaks....

my garage has a 2ft by 5ft 'lake' of oil all over the floor.

had a look underneath and it looks like its dripping from the selector seal (new and new alloy ring) transfer casing (new gasket there too) and the speedo gear housing too (again new gaskets)

looks like an engine out job.... Arse bugger feck! just after i had it running sweet as well!!

nuff pissed! *frown*

on lates all week so no hope!

About a week! its gone from MAX to just above MIN... seems worse if you run it.

had it running for about 3mins on saturday, had a look under and there was a fresh drip pool about 40mm in diameter

should have put 20/50 in instead of 15/40! might have been less!! LOL!

are you sure its the selector seal i know they leak but if there new shouldnt be that bad. just an idea its not leaking from some where else on running down?? maybe turbo pipe or summit

dont think any stop leak in the worlds gonna help you. im really gutted at the amount of turbominiers that have got the anti avonpark curse at the moment *frown*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

yeah, if you say its worse when its running maybe the turbo oil drain has split? Just a thought as it chucks out a lot of oil, infact a suprising amount!!

Another way to get round leaks temporary is to use some red hermatite along the joint thats leaking. bit of a bodge but works the same! then schedule gasket changes when they're more convienent.
