you can get a bearing that fits in the A+ transfer case and fits the shaft on the A series idler. Minispares have them |

I used to have these spacer bearings from minispares. Just check the bearing is tight in the spacer as mine came lose after time dropping into the gear box and wrecking my gearbox, drops, transmission case and gearbox casing. Not saying they are bad just thought i would let you know about my experience! |

I was thinking of these too - I have a set of high ratio A drops that I want to use in an Aplus box (simply because I haven't sourced a 2.9 CWP (second hand) yet (and am too tight to buy new!) and the high ratio drops with a 3.44 CWP take me half way there). The photos however, put me off.

The bearing slid into the box, leaving the sleeve behind in the gearbox casing. The part of the bearing that held the needle rollers was rather thin and i found this stuck to the sump plug magnet. I do have some pictures but they are too big to upload. I can email them over rod if your interested! |
