RUNS! WORKS! STARTS! DOESNT STALL! its so smooth, just runnig wtih the MBC on 0, but thanks to turbodave's idea to pue a t piece from the plenum chamber to the antirun on valve takeoff to the regulator, it works perfect! It doesnt ever stop running though i have to put it in gear, but WOW theres nothing wrong!

MOT tomroow hopefully then! Avonpark may still be on!!!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Pretty sure it means that the internal passages of the carb are blocked and that it needs a rebuild IIRC.

Well done though feebs. Good to get it working at least *smiley*

It can mean a few things - the pipe is blocked, the incorrect gasket between the plenum and carb, etc...

It is a 'temporary' fix, but one that's been in place on my carb for the last 2 years, as i just can't find anything wrong at all!!!!

It prob never stops because you connected the live coil to a permanent live on the fusebox, rather than an ignition live???

If u ain't got a meter, try a bulb earthed to the engine to figure out which spade to use!

oh bugger. I havent been to start my car this morning, but yes i have. I connected the coil straight to the starter motor feed (the big battery cable, along with the fuel pump feed.) So yeah, the coil will have drained the battery probably!

And could of although not sure, goosed the coil. I know they can overheat if left on too long.

Never mind you'll soon see, learn from your mistakes and all that! *smiley*

It was fine. I was amazed, only slight choke put on, and turned the key this morning, started on first turn over! also did it for the MOT man even on a hot start! didnt even mucky the exhaust on the way down either!

did fail on a few things, the one i dont know how to do is the front top arm, i have no idea how it is assembled. I posted the certificate in the help section :) It drives lovely though! even at 4psi its quick!
