i am currently looking into fourpot calipers for my mini, the mini spares alloy fourpots are the ones i am interested in at the moment due to the ratings that people have given them over the mini sport ones and other people. i know they are not quite KAD quality but they seem to be rates quite highly.
the thing that has made me think about getting them is the fact you have to grind the pad down in places, what is in volved in doing this is it difficult and are there any fourpots which you do not need to do this?

its very little you have to grind of, if at all. I did not have to do it at all last time I changed pads on my minispares 4 pots.

its a very small bit at the maximum. The carbon metalic pads I bought did not need any grinding.

Just need to trim down/ chamfer off the corners that are near the middle of the disc - 2 minutes with a grinder or hacksaw.

I know of a few people running these callipers including myself. None of us have ever bothered to grind anything off. They are very good callipers.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!
