hi all, search only appeared to bring up a topic on a miglia exhaust and battery box but not quite what i was after in there.

was just wondering how to remove my battery box from the car as i have a replacement fibreglass one to go in.

neil suggested drilling through the top spot welds and then lifting the fold up and pulling it out, i never got to confirm with him if this was the easiest/best way. Any advice would be great as i plan on trying to remove it in the next couple of days.

Cheers

im pretty sure they are only spot welded in. so clean the paint off with a wire brush, get a spot weld drill bit remover and drill them all out.

get a hammer underneath and it should pop out.

I would say drill out the spotwelds (the proper way of doing it) but you probably wont be able to get a drill into some of them so grind it out

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

i chopped off the bottem of it, but the size of the fiberglass batery box ollie has was a concern as it is the dimentions of the original box not larger. so trying to keep as much of the original boot floor was the main bit i think, please correct me if im wrong
