has anybody fitted a metro radiator (outlet + inlet same side) in a steel front car? if so, what mods were needed to do so, pictures would be good also,
i will be having an intercooler aswell, but won't have enough room for front rad + front intercooler, so which one would be better, i am thinking 2core super side rad and front intercooler, post a picture of your setup please, cheers

my front end is removeable - short inner wings hence the oil cooler on the left brace bar, when i get round to fitting my intercooler il be putting it on the other brace bar (meaning il have to move the header tank to the other side of the inner arch

Hi,
I've got a Mk2 Metro rad in mine (inlet & outlet at opposite ends), as you say it doesn't leave much if any room for a front mounted IC. I had to change the oil filter housing to a remote mounted one and also had to cut the useless casting lump off the front of the transfer gear housing, just in front of the starter motor. If you've got a dizzy that will be in the way too which is a perfect excuse to go Megajolt or similar.
There's been a few previous discussions on this topic, try the search function.
Regards
Neil

This the only one I've got here, back home in a week so I can dig out some more then. It's a shot from below giving an idea of what I cut off in front of the starter motor.

i still dont understand how people fit so much in the front of the engine bay, nearly all mins i have the transfer case is almost up to the back of the grill!

gonna drill my engine mount holes an inch back on the subframe that will eventually hold the turbo motor
