So, another lesson learnt.... Two paypal disputes in a short space of time.

I shipped to the address the 'buyer' put in the message sent to me along with the payment.

I had insurance on this one as well as full tracking.

The problem now seems to be that the guy gave me the 'wrong' address - which I copied and pasted onto my label exactly as it was supplied to me in the message.

I can check tracking, and see it has had an attempted delivery, but not been delivered as yet.

So, I was thinking it wouldn't be an issue, until I read the small print saying that PayPal will find in his favour if it is not shipped to a 'verified address' either in the USA, Canada, or UK.

So, the first lesson here, is that if you recieve payment for anything, then if they don't have a 'verified / confirmed' address on the paypal system, then refund the money and tell them you will only accept it once their address is confirmed.
Next, If they are 'verified' but want it shipped to a different address from the verified one, refund them unless they add the address as a verified address.

Finally - It is clearly a grey area, but even if you ship to an address that is 'verified' on the paypal system, and the recipient decides to put in a claim, they might still win, as the disclaimer states the item must be shipped to an address in the USA, Canada, or UK - ie if it is an address outside of these countries, then you (as a seller) don't meet the seller protection policy and will not win a claim.

Finally - Make sure you ship within 7 days of recieving payment. I always do - but didn't realise if you don't - you'll likelly lose any claims against you.

As it is, I will send another before PayPal finds in his favour - I have one plate in mind that is ideal for this.

I am now likely to be limiting my sales to the UK, USA and Canada - as this just isn't worth the effort any more.

Far from it Alex... Life is good. :)

This stuff just makes me less interested in taking time out to assemble these parts.
