I'm in the process of changing to mini hubs from the Metro type.

Are the steering arms the same? and do I need to but new bolts to fit the 4 pot calipers to them?

Quoted from the GTM forum:

"Metro ones are longer than Mini ones and are generally to be avoided. They will work with mini steering racks but they do change the angles a bit as you turn. I seem to remember there being a slight difference in bolt hole sizes but I forget the details. I just remember drilling out the mini ones somehow to fit my metro hubs."

Hope it helps

He's changing back from metro hubs.

the metro arms are much longer and ave a deeper "sweep"

I'm pretty sure your metro hubs had mini arms on.

the metro hub has metric threads, and the mini one UNF,

to hold the metro 4 pot caliper on you'll need era turbo caliper bolts (minispares do them). also you will probably find your existing steering arms have had a 10mm drill run through them to clear the metro bolts.

Cheers guys

Joe, I will post some pics of the arms to be sure. I've just ordered the bolts. (Couldn't resist a set of Minispares ultimate bottom arms as well whoops!)

Indeed, if you get the bushed ones then you can fit rod ends and swap to bushes again if needed.

Yes, I'm just talking about the steering arms. I know that the hubs are Metro ones.

Hmmm,

hard to say, I don't remember metty arms having the little "ears" where the TRE fits, but i could be wrong. on the other hand i remember mini ones being less "sweeping" than those

can you whip one of and compare it against one on another car?

the difference should be obvious then.

Hang on!

I'm sure theyre mini arms,

if you look at these you can see the difference in length (unless its just me!) the ebay ones are longer.
