The West Country

Thickness of the tube
Grade of steel
Extruded or rolled tube

Lots of ways to get the cost down.

Someone was complaining about them being a bad fit on another forum recently.

Not sure whether it was justified or not and said forum appears to be down at the moment.

'tis better than nothing tho, isnt it ?

what looks a bit iffy, is where the bars run along the roof, looks to be just above the drivers head position ?

not necessarily, if it adds little/no structural or impact support, its just more stuff to break bones on

Shropshire.

I have one, you need to speak to them to get what you want etc.

as rob says you can choose the grade of steel and Extruded or rolled tube at cost.

mine fits well, but fully weld it in.

as per below

Horndean - Near Portsmouth

My mate is using one in his project, he went for the full cage, with straight and dog leg door bars, and a rear cross. They fitted dash bar and a harness bar without him asking but he had to take these out (the harness bar didn't allow the seat to be mounted where he wanted it).

For the money I think they're pretty good! The fit is never going to be 100% laser guided accurate but nothing abit of adjustment wont fix.

Personally i'd rather have one in than nothing at all, and im sure this cage is of pretty good standard.

It looks like some of the cages is not fia aproved. And they can mabe be made of another metaltype. I think the beste steel is caled crommolly. Its strong and alittel lighter that regular steel. If i remember corekt.

I work whit crommolly seam welded pipes at work. They looks good enoug
to take a hit or two.

I was thinking on making my own rollcage whit the pipes at work cause its better to have some protection then nothing.

Warwick.

for the MSA spec ones not too much more id rather have safety devices or rollcentre one, where it says extra bend in the front leg, the more bends the less strength surly? gives a starting point for failure.
i dont like the cages really anyway because the roof bars are too inboard.
if its going to be welded in it worth having the cage stitched to the shell aswell along the A and B pillers
